What people ask before they come in.
Do I have to use the shop my insurance company picked?
No. Your insurance company may give you a list of shops it recommends. It is not a list of shops you have to use. In Indiana, you choose where your car is repaired.
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We work with your insurance company and bill them directly. Bring your claim number and we handle the documentation and the adjuster from there.
What if you find more damage once the car is apart?
Hidden damage is documented during blueprinting and sent to your insurance company as a supplement.
Will my cameras and sensors work after the repair?
Scans and calibrations are done in-house, as part of the repair.
How long does the free repair plan take?
Plan on at least 30 minutes.
I already have an estimate. Should I still come in?
Yes. Bring it. We write our own, free, and show you what a complete repair on your car should include.
How long will the repair take?
It depends on parts availability, so we cannot give a date before we see the car and order parts. We send updates by text and by phone at every step.
Can you help with a rental car?
If you need a rental, we can help you arrange one.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Tom Wood Collision Center provides a lifetime warranty on all repair and paint work performed at our facility. The warranty is valid for as long as you own the vehicle. It is granted to the person named on the original work order.
